A .650 PERCUSSION HEAVY OVERCOAT PISTOL OF CONSTABULARY FORM FOR RENOVATION, serial no. 62,
circa 1800 with later conversion to percussion via drum & nipple, 4 1/2in. octagonal barrel with applied fore-sight and traces of a London address, solid top-tang, large screwed plug to the drum (nipple damaged, drum out of line), flat lock with radiused tail and signed 'W. PARKER' below the drum, removed safe behind the slab-sided replacement hammer (mainspring at fault), walnut full-stock with semi slab-sided bag-shaped butt (cracks and losses to left side of fore-end), brass furniture, the trigger-guard bow engraved 'DISM'D HORSE PATROLE', the pineapple finial engraved '62' and replacement ramrod, overall length 10in., weight approximately 1 1/4lbs.
